New Forest Puddle

Mixed fortunes with the orienteering in the New Forest today. I made the fatal error of changing my route choice on the way to my first control and it all went downhill after that. Tony fared much better but it was very fast in the flat forest and so tiny errors meant places dropped. However, we both enjoyed our first outings in that area and it was a good end to our short but most enjoyable break in Dorset. I should have had my camera with me on my run today as in one remote part of the forest we disturbed a herd of New Forest ponies of all shapes and sizes. It was wonderful to see them gallop past. Not a great deal else to blip on the long journey home so a puddle will have to suffice!
