ive been spending this week in a suburb of chicago - cooped up in a snazzy hotel spending my days in workshops. an orientation for my new position, which has been truly rather wonderful - save the being cooped up.

so tonight a few of us spent the evening downtown, with a dear old friend of mine. had a wonderful dinner of sushi, a classic irish hard cider or two, and a bit of time to walk through the city.
