Sacred Heart, Lauriston, Edinburgh

The funeral of an old family friend was in the Sacred Heart today. The funeral of his wife, an even older friend of my sister, was in the same church just over a year ago. The Sacred Heart was where my family went to mass when I was young and back in the day, when the world was turning on to the groovinesss of the 1960's, I was an altar boy here. Serving altar at a Latin mass here certainly made the summer of love seem like something happening on another planet.
