The Unknown Face in the Gravel

Today brought an end to the clear, bright sunny weather of the past few days and saw a return to the sort of dreich, mizzly weather we all too often see up here in November.

By way of contrast to the spectacular sunsets seen here recently, tonight we see the pinkish-yellow glare of a sodium lamp lighting up the pink granite chips of the car park behind my office in Inverurie.

But wait - is that the spectral face of one of our ape-like ancestors we see in the gravel...?
