A Sasanach's Skye photos

Winterisation

I call it winterisation, I don't know what everyone else calls it. However at the end of the season pleasure craft are lifted from the sea to spend the winter on their trailers. Thus protecting them from the worst of the winter weather.

Come the spring the process is reversed and the craft go back on the water and will be fastened to their moorings until required.

In this photograpg an Arvor is being lifted by a local contractors Hiab. The sun had set and it was getting dark by the minute. Of the twenty or so photographs taken most were discarded; this one is the best.
