Cameron's edited life

By cameronmcvean

Respect comes in many forms...

I saw this chap in Haddington this morning, proudly displaying his white poppy. It's fair to say that although something of an anti-war pacifist, he was showing respect for the fallen.

During WW2 18000 men were accepted as Conscientious Objectors, but many volunteered to undertake dangerous duties like bomb disposal in order to prove that they weren't cowards. Many died undertaking that most treacherous of tasks.

Perhaps we should also take a moment to remember the men and women on the home-front who lost their lives supporting the efforts of Britain and her people during the darkest of hours...
