Pyracanthus Berries

I planned to take a picture of the church in Saffron Walden when I went shopping this morning, but the spire was shrouded in mist, so no point.

It has been misty and cold here all day and so I decided that these red Pyracanthus berries would brighten up a dull day. The shrub is also known as Firethorn and other varieties have yellow or orange berries. It has very sharp thorns, and makes a good hedge to keep people out and provides food for the birds.
