Louise - Changing Natures

Was on Buchanan Street in Glasgow today at the 11th hour - and felt good to be united with those others who stopped to observe the two minute silence. It was kinda interesting to see who did and didn't- and in particular to see that it wasn't a generation thing - plenty of young people stopped, plenty didn't; plenty of old people stopped but also plenty didn't...

Took this in George Square. There is a Garden of Remembrance, but at the Cenotaph in the square some wreaths were already places, along with this poignant tribute. It stopped many people in their tracks. How much he must still be loved - and missed - today. Made me think of how many tears were being shed - just in Glasgow alone - for lost brothers, fathers, cousins, uncles, sons and brothers in arms in the two great wars, never mind the conflicts since. The second city of the Empire and its river of tears...

Let us always remember them x
