St John the Evangelist Church, Grayrigg. Cumbria

I was at a nearly new sale in Grayrigg today and snatched a chance to capture this lovely little church. It dates from 1837 and was designed by one of Kendal's foremost architects George Webster.

Grayrigg has most recently been in the use because of the train crash in 2007 but its a very pretty little place to visit. The tower has a sheep to indicate how well the tower repair fund is doing - looks like a lot more money is needed...

Discovered I needed to backblip for August 26th
