That time of Year...

When the enclosures in the average newspaper start to weigh almost as much as the newspaper itself. Christmas is coming so a flood of leaflets from charities and a host of catalogues with a host of (often trashy) gift ideas. Everything from a radio-controlled tractor for the executive desk to a personalized professional chef's hat and apron. Not sure it helps you cook any better. And wine-cooler bags for the truly pretentious. And it's still only mid-November - the flood will grow into a tsunami over the coming weeks. I can't be bothered but I sometimes think it would be an interesting exercise to collect the stuff together for November/December and see how much it weighs in at.
