Above Addis

The journey begins........with the first flight to Addis Ababa. Just before landing an amazing green patchwork opened up. A complete contrast to the landscape below further south in Malawi, where greens turned to the famous red of the African soil.

So far so good - all on time, friendly passengers (otherwise known as the American National Guard on their way back to Djibouti) and what would turn out to be my first and last gin and tonic..........
