Night at the Museum

The museum closes at 4pm in November and I like to lock up before it gets too dark!

The individuals buried in these coffins have been identified as a adult male and three children, buried sometime in the 1300s. They must have been of high status to have occupied such a significant position at the heart of the Priory. The bones of the adult male bore signs that he was suffering from leprosy the youngest child showed signs of suffering from rickets.

No one is sure what tragic event led to the burials here or what happened to the mother.
