Grainger market

Housed in a grade one listed building in Newcastle city centre is the Grainger market. Opened in 1835 it has more than 200 small shops selling anything from models to meat and game. When it first opened it was the largest indoor market in Europe, it also has the world's smallest Marks & Spencer shop! A great place to have a good browse around, it was the forerunner of today's big shopping malls!
