Autumn scene, Peter Fidler reserve

A small lake in the reserve with what must really be a final fling of the autumn colours for this year - it is the birches that are hanging on here. The leaves on the surface of the water in the foreground seemed to add something compared with the other shots I took.

It was good to see the sunshine and the clear blue skies after so many grey days. However, the lakes in the nearby Carr Vale reserve are still relatively low. For all the cloudiness, there still has not been all that much rain around these parts.
