Buckley Hughes World

So, today was the last day of Mrs BH's extended birthday celebrations (117 days of birthday - crazy, but she deserves it!).

We had tickets to see Alison Krauss and Union Station at the Royal Festival Hall (thanks Mike and Mat). It seemed like a good idea at the time - we absolutely love Alison Krauss, and really enjoy seeing and hearing music played live. But on a school night? in London? Really?

We left work at 3pm, and drove direct to the South Bank, getting stuck for about half an hour in Knightsbridge (thankfully the lights of Harrods were interesting to look at!), parked up at 6.30pm, got a sandwich for tea and to our seats just before 7.30pm.

Photography wasn't allowed during the performance, but this was taken as we were waiting for it to start: oh the anticipation!

And then after the concert, back in the trusty chariot and drove half-way up the M40 to the glamour of the Travelodge at Bicester services. Busy busy busy.
