Winter Winds

Went for a run around Roath this morning; it was SO cold and windy! You can tell that Winter is on it's way (or, to put a more positive spin on it, that Christmas is on it's way!)

Anyway, as I was running a particularly strong gust blew this leaf and a LOT of it's friends right up into my face. It wasn't very helpful to my progress, but I loved their colours so I hung on to this one to blip about.

Note to my Dad the horticulturalist: Thanks in advance for your detailed email on its species, genus, latin name, preferred environment etc... :)


UPDATE: My Dad has informed me that this leaf is from 'Acer Platanoides'... Whoever he is.
