Traquair Graveyard

I spend a lovely and sunny morning in Traquair Graveyard. I'll blog about it tomorrow as I have to go out tonight so no time for that now. There first was a church on this site at the beginning of the 12th Century dedicated to the Irish saint Bryde, which explains the alternative name for this church of Kirkbride.
The present building was erected in 1778 and as you can see this graveyard too benefits from a slightly elevated location so that the dead have fabulous views of the surrounding countryside.
