Male Goosander

Off along the canal after a busy morning & lunchtime (See MaggieD's blip) and we came across a family of friendly swans. While Mag tried to get some decent swan-shots, I spotted this odd duck-like critter a little further along the canal. As I approached, he suddenly remembered that his mum had told him to keep clear of humans pointing things at them! However, I tracked his escape route behind some trees and caught this image as he same into the clear.
