Samosa Sale

Didn't get quite enough work done today due to all the Children in Need fundraising activities going on where I work! Most of them seemed to revolve around food which didn't help the diet.

My team did our usual Samosa Sale - Bal is the Samosa Queen, she's been organising them for a while now. She has a secret supplier of these very tasty snacks who she negotiates with to get them at a knockdown price, selling them on at 50p each with the profits going to whatever cause is being supported.

Our building has around 1200 staff working there so lots of scope for fundraising. Today there were only 6 samosas left of the 300 Bal brought in and we also sold about 30 or so spring rolls too. Not bad as it was a last minute decision to join in as we were a bit short of staff this week. It was good fun though, we had a steady stream of customers and two of the team went round the building doing desk to desk sales too.

Further down on our floor, another team were doing homemade cake sales which also did very well, so today our nutritious lunch has consisted entirely of samosas, spring rolls and cake. But all in a good cause & we raised £120 - will find out next week how much the whole office raised when they've amalgamated it all.
