Cup Marked Stone

Out a walk this morning in the mist and came across this stone. I tried to find out about it but as usual I am not very good.

Seems it could be thousands of years old, man made, used for ritual, and they can be found all over.

One use could be when the cups fill with rainwater it takes on magical powers, possibly for healing. Another thought is for mapping stars. Also sacrifice but we won't think about that.

I think people like Dr Who should go back and find out these things instead of fighting Daleks.
