Fire in the Forest

A lovely day for exploring the New Forest, and came across this Fireplace - preserved as a memorial to the men who lived and worked in the Portuguese camp during the First World War. Amongst the ashes there was one lone red poppy, presumably left there last weekend, and can be seen better here.

Edit: just noticed last year's blip - Nigel proudly told me yesterday he is 92 years young!!
