I don't mind sharing outside leaves with slugs

Have you ever tried cooking slivered cabbage with peeled apples - just sprinkle with nuts before serving - delicious. Worked all day in the allotment, turned my compost bins over, spread what was good and put the rest back to work over winter. Cut down asparagus ferns ready for dressing with seaweed and compost (have to go to the seaside to collect the former). Dug some huge parsnips and some beetroot for supper and even found a few autumn raspberries to eat.
