Concerning pretentiousness

After looking at one of Exbeeb's blips the other day and being reminded of Tomita in the comments I got listening to some. And that reminded me of 1979's The Pentateuch of the Cosmogony which, you might guess by the title, is prog rock in its pretentious death throws. But it does remind me of laying in Chesterfield Royal Infirmary with a broken femur and listening to it on a cheap walkman. And that, for some reason, is a fond memory. Maybe it was just because I knew I wouldn't have to go into work for a few months.
