Frank Znort Quartet @ Blå

A Sunday residency that has become an Oslo institution - the Frank Znort Quartet is actually 12 to 16 musicians with an assortment of guest vocalists that plays jazz and funk with an emphasis on the fun - their slogan is "We fuck up your Mondays!" It's always crowded, so plenty of people end up sitting or standing on the stage behind the drummer and percussionist. The residency is now in its 14th year and the band are coming up on 700 consecutive Sundays (with the occasional break when Christmas has landed on a Sunday). This was my first time seeing them but it won't be the last!
