LB223 Machan Scotland

This is an example of an LB223 lamp box, one of the smallest post boxes in use in the UK. They are so called as they are usually attached to lamp posts, but can also be affixed to metal poles, as in this picture, or to walls too. Machan is the name of the manufacturer of all of the post boxes in the UK, and has been for the past 20 years. They are based in Denny, Stirlingshire and also provide parts for and refurbish red telephone boxes.
