Tramwerk

Princes Street, Edinburgh's commercial hub facing west.

The latest phase of work on the tram-sham-saga seems to complete. It looks it anyway. It's probably not.

Princes Street could be something special - a Scottish Champs Elysées of sorts - how many other cities have an iconic castle as their focal point?

In reality, it's not exactly an exciting retail destination - perfectly adequate, but for me it lacks the charm, attraction, and range of shops you find in other cities. Primark is opening soon, however...

In DSLR news - the latest quote is in excess of £150.00 - think I'll be sticking with my compact until I stop off at duty free for a new 550D!
