So I threw the catnip mouse to the floor with camera in hand, ready to snap off a few action shots as the cat goes mad.

Alternatively, cat sees through the thinly veiled attempt to offer up some play time and sees that she is being simply being used as a last minute model for an otherwise blip-free day.

At least she had the good grace to give the mouse one flick with her paw and I managed to captrure it here. She then walked away from me as if to say, "You've got the shot. Now leave me alone!"
