Went for a visit to Riffa fort today with AWA ladies .The fort was built during the reign of the Safavid Empire of Iran over Bahrain during the 17th Century. It was originally a military fort and is built on one of the highest points in Bahrain. It was later turned into a residence for the royal family, one of the former rulers was born here. Nice views over Riffa Valley from up top.
