Birch - trunks and fallen leaves

Triple trunks of a birch tree by the Stockley Trail. Just one heavy shower at lunchtime following a bright sunny morning. There was a brief spell of rain overnight as well, but nothing like the downpours in the areas where it is not needed as much as it is here.

Birch trees are so beautiful at any time of year, so it is a pleasure to choose this picture from today's selection.
