Mmmm meat

This is Andy Grundy of Grundy & Neill Organic butchers & Deli.

We have never been before but came across their shop in a review in The Guardian when we were searching for somewhere to buy organic mutton locally. Really nice chap and great to find somewhere that can source game too.

Anyway, just polished off the sausages, the beautiful piece of Topside is ready for sunday lunch and the chorizo will be featuring in a spanish chicken one night and a goats cheese puff pastry tart another night.

This may seem a strange thing to say but it was wonderful, the shop smelt like a butchers used to and still should, the smell of fresh mature meat (in this case with the back note of the blue cheese from the deli).

We will be ringing up soon to get hold of that mutton :-)
