A dreich day in Dunfermline

I travelled across to the Kingdom for two things - watch the Dunfermline v Aberdeen game and secondly more importantly a leaving do for our mate who is being shipped back once again to Afghanistan on Tuesday.

The walk to the ground was wet and windy and we had great fun in setting up the flags down the front. Some guys had brought along two new flags which were made in Poland, they did not stand up to the rigours of Scottish weather too long. We were also a bit concerned with the side panel on the stand vibrating so much it sounded like a 2 stroke scooter and a panel of the roof flapping about. The game ended 3-3 with the dons fans far happier with that result than the pars fans with an 88th min equaliser from hapless striker Magennis who eventually scored his first goal of the season.

We packed up the wet flags (of which tow are draped across my flat now drying) and headed to with my mate to meet his family and some friends who had not been to the game. This will be his 3rd trip out to Afghanistan and he has seen quite a few maiming and deaths and this time it was far harder for him. Quite a change of mood from the jubalation of a few hours before with the late equaliser.

On another note, 100 days in to blipping and I quite like the red filter I used for this blip. I did do a bit of blipstalking of http://www.blipfoto.com/TOADA/about as he is the offical photographer of Dunfermline but I never got a good shot.
