Everyday I Write The Book

Hanging in the kitchen

Along with hanging with a camera, one of my favourite pastimes.

Had Mrs St Roud and her Mr and her nipper over for lunch today, along with the Mother In Law. Lovely afternoon. Cooked tempura green vegetables, followed by a beetroot and Wenslydale tart / mushroom, stilton and walnut quiche with aubergine mash, and finishing with the plum and chocolate brownie sundae.

Food was good. Kitchen was a complete car crash. TSM and the Smiling Giant to the rescue. The latter in particular was heroic. Dizzle meanwhile got out the flipchart and led us in pictionary type games.

Company was first class. May have a weighing-in crisis tomorrow though.

Talking of crises - feeling a bit low on the photographic front. Very uninspired in my midwinter blipping phase. All part of the learning experience that is everyday photography. 20 entries away from my 200 and feel stale and uncreative. It will get better. But like life and cooking, not without me giving it some thought and some effort, and some energy.
