Grey Squirrel--With Lunch?

This squirrel was poking around on our backyard fence today. It was around lunch time, and although at this time of year I'd guess that squirrels would be storing food for the winter, he does seem to be eating (I didn't see what became of the nut). It's fun to view large--he might even share his nut with you :)

It's also called the Eastern grey squirrel. A "prolific and adaptable species," it has been introduced to most areas of the United States. It has also been introduced to Britain, where it has reportedly mostly displace the native red squirrel, and to other parts of Europe.
