Under the lee

A day at my sisters in the polder and we made an early morning walk along the shore of the Veluwe Meer in the rain and against the strong winds. Guts of rain we met on our walk on one of the final days of November, but than again some rainshower at last after an abnormally dry month. On the waterfront in the curve of bricklane we spotted this white heron, standing beautifully under the lee of the reed and apparently awaiting better weather for a flight further onwards.
