wandering

before i left for china, i asked my shanghainese friend where to visit in shanghai. one suggestion was hengshan lu. i spent the majority of my day wandering on the road and happened upon the park where this photo was taken. the signs were in both chinese and french because hengshan lu is in the french concession. i saw at least four couples preparing to get married in the park~ the temperature was unusually high: 73 degrees fahrenheit! later that day, i met up with a friend and went to the shanghai museum and had dinner on nanjing xi lu. that night, my friends and i helped out one of the chinese roommates with his interview/film project and then joined up with the rest of our friends to celebrate a birthday.
