Weather For The Ducks

After 24 hours solid rain the river was in spate as it met the flood tide this afternoon. The result was a very swollen river estuary and a few flooded gardens.

As the forecast was for it to clear in the afternoon, I decided to wait as long as I could for a blip. When the rain did go off there were amazing subdued colours in the clouds from the sun setting somewhere to the west and out of sight. The boat floating about is tied up for the winter away from the normal tidal water. The colours are exactly as they came out of the camera. In the distance the first signs of snow could be seen on the mountain tops of Arran.

Just in case the rain didn't gone off I took an earlier blip, which better explains the title Weather For The Duck! However, after all that rain, today's blip had to feature a wee bit of blue sky!
