Scottish Water

I reckon this blip summed up our day.

John had an appointment in Glasgow today, I had to take my accordion for repair in bearsden and we were also heading to Balfron for our grandson's birthday celebrations ( also taking his birthday cake ). So everytthing should have worked out quite neatly , a simple triangular route, except the weather got in the way.

All the way down the rest and Be Thanful, down Loch lomond, hardly a puddle, never mind flooding.

That is until we reached Dumbarton , no way through, back to balloch and over to Gartocharn , minor flooding , no problem. The we hit it big time as the Endrick had burst its banks and the whole flood plain was submerged in water, the junction was flowing like a small river and the bridge had collapsed under the strain. We followed this van through the flooding ( well it did say "Emergency helpline2 )

To cut a long story short we had to head back home because of the flooding , cancelled hospital appointment, accordion repair and the celebrations wil have to wait till Sunday.
