Isn't ebay great!

Hopefully I've not contravened any blip rules here. In my defence it's not a photo of a picture, it's a photo of the sleeve of the record I just got off ebay.

It's a fantastic 12" single and the best bit is that it didn't even come to the £3 marked, the auction actually ended at £1.20.

Assuming it stays on a cyber pint to the first person wjo can name th erecord. In fact two cyber pints if that person isn't Croz (sorru if you're reading Croz but I reckon it will be a doddle for you).

Aside from that today I had quite an interesting phone conversation this morning. It started when I got a text from an ex-student. He's just completed his HND in Film and TV although he hasn't been in any of my classes for two years.

Anyway last night he was up trying to promote his show reel at the film festival. After three years of college with a family to support he didn't have much cash and couldn't afford any of the events but decided to be pro-active and try and chat to people at the film house.

His timing seems to have been perfect as he ended up bumping into Shane Meadows (writer/director of Room for Romeo Brass, Dead Man's Shoes and This is England among others). HE ended up going for a drink with him and having a really good chat as well as giving him a copy of his show reel. I think he was excited enough about that but then this morning he got a phone call from him. He'd watched Garry's show reel last night and really liked the stuff on it. Apparently he's keen to see Muirhouse where much or Garry's stuff is set, for himself. And is hopefully going to sort Garry out with a ticket for the Q&A session he's doing as part of the film festival and get another chat with him up there.

Suffice to say Garry was pretty delighted about this. I'm absolutely delighted for him as he's a good guy who's worked hard and deserves a break.
