Good news! Piano tuner turned up yesterday. It will cost £200 to tune and repair the piano. Since it was free and didn't have to spend any money on transport either, I think £200 is a bargain!

It has been booked for two weeks' time... I nearly blipped the piano tuner. As you would expect from someone with a job like that , he was deliciously odd and nerdy.

I didn't have the courage to ask him to pose for me, though. Maybe next time....
