Just a few days until I board a plane bound for the land of the rising sun.
I have a loose plan but I'm mostly going to go with the flow.

Once I get into the counrty I can exchange this piece of paper for a Japan Rail Pass. Unlimited access to the entire state railway network. Plus a few buses and a ferry service. I'm a tourist and this is my licence to tour!

I've estimated that I'll spend at least 28 hours riding trains and about 6 hours on ferries during this trip. That's an absolute minimum! Not to mention all the buses and the underground in Tokyo and Osaka.
