imperfectly appointed

Had I not been softened-up by the previous actions of the shed-building-and-installing people I would have been further disturbed today by their lack of attention the absence of any evidence of taking any pride in their work. After not bringing replacement doors and installing them and the sheds yesterday (instead taking the existing doors away for modification and not moving the sheds) they returned today with doors modified in order to reduce the impact of their failure to build the shed to the specified measurements. Instead of modifying the doors the sensible way (adding a few more bits of bracing and then installing the additional hinge on the inside so that the doors would fold back flat to half their width) they have been modified the ermwhatthefuck way, by simply sawing them in half and adding some extremely weak hinges on the outside, each attached only by four of the maximum six screws apiece. As if doubling the number of weak points in the doors was not enough they then failed to place the shed fully on the carefully-measured platform, which was constructed so that it could move in and out from the rear wall in order to be able to accommodate all four feet irrespective of the shed's position relative to the wall. The shed can be moved, but can only be moved relative to the platform by first moving the platform slightly away from the wall, a task made slightly trickier by the fact that it now has two sheds resting atop it.
