Doctoral robes..

The robes of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canterbury. He came from the prize giving at Christ's College to talk to my early career academics. Couldn't resist blipping such glorious colours.

A great day which ended with a glass of wine in the sunshine with ljw82 and three lovely Italians. One has just arrived here for three years to do her PhD in area of research associated with the earthquakes. There are silver linings for Christchurch.
