Brian May - World Aids Day

Had a wonderful evening, having been to see 'We Will Rock You' at the The Edinburgh Playhouse. As it was World Aids Day as well as the start of the run, Brian May appeared on stage to partake in the Bohemian Rhapsody encore.

Following the encore, Brian made a short speech about Aids and the Mercury Phoenix Trust, which he, Roger Taylor and Jim Beach (Queen's Manager) set up following the death of Freddie Mercury. All proceeds from this evenings show was going to the charity.

At the post show party attended by the cast of the show (which was wonderful, by the way!) I had the good fortune to blip Brian and I have to say he was a lovely man, a very good man too!

A very enjoyable night but let's all remember those who have Aids throughout the world and those who have been lost too.
