Norfolk Reeds

A fanatstic early winter morning visit to Cley, on the North norfolk coast. Famous for its coastal marshes, home to many wildfowl and the reedbeds.

The Norfolk Wildlife Trust were running a families event involving a walk in the reserve and craft activities at the visitor centre. Worth a visit in itself the green roofed, purpose built centre houses a great viewing area, shop, cafe (siper local food) and resource room.

The girls (and the parents!) enjoyed making christmas stars out of bundles of reeds and some print making using card and leather stamps in an old book-binding press. Came home with some good ideas for crafty projects at home and looking forward to a return visit.

The sky was mostly blue but for the chosen blip I was shooting into the sun which gives the whole a sepia look.
