cooking on gas big man, cooking on gas!

Having lived without an oven since february we we're most disappointed when the discovery of rising damp in the kitchen put our renovation plans on hold. We had panned to invest in a shiny new gas range in time for Christmas and were finally hooked up with gas and ready to go.

Luckily my friend Pauline came to the rescue with the old one from the flat she just moved out of and gave it to us as a temporary measure. We had the plumber fit it this morning and chef did a test run for Christmas for good measure. Roast partridge, King Edwards and parsnips with a bit of steamed broccoli would never had been the same on the barbeque and chef is delighted that he doesn't have to stand in the snow to cook!

We are most cosy and happy bunnies now!
