The Grand Canal

This photo was taken early this morning before we left and it is the view from our balcony. The Grand canal is very busy with boats all day long. All the supplies are brought in by boat to the nearest points and then transported usually by men on push barrows to get everything to the right place. Not a job I would fancy with all the steps around Venice.

Anyway I am now back and have backblipped my photos please feel free to have a look. I have not linked them but they are just the last four days. I will try to catch up on my comments later this evening.
