A co-worker and me drove to the Belgium Ardennes for a great hike. I picked him up in Rotterdam and drove the 200 km to the Ardennes. That's a great region in the french speaking part of Belgium for hiking, biking, kayaking, drinking and eating. The rolling hills, small villages, relaxed people, great hiking trails, good food and real beer make this region a beloved day or weekend out.

This scenery is next to a castle near Furfooz. That's a dreamy village near Dinant where we had lunch after the hike. We took a rest here and sat on a sort of castle wall surrounding the garden. Looking around I felt sort of like a king. The weather was beautiful and the light was a winner.
