Remembrance Wreaths in the Snow

In town for some Christmas shopping. It was busier than I expected. I went along to George Square to see the big wheel, the ice skaters and the festivities, as I have seen several images here on Blip over the last week or so.

But what caught my attention was the seriousness of the remembrance wreaths at the cenotaph in front of the City Chambers. The snow added a coldness to the sadness of so many lost lives. After standing there for a few minutes, and thinking about my visit to Auschwitz a few weeks ago, I had to walk away from the merriment, and knew that this had to be my Blip for today.
