They don't make 'em like they used to

I took this picture a while ago and forgot to post it.

I am not a religious man, I am however a geek. St. Marys Cathedral is a regular sight for me and I love it.
Churches, cathedrals and houses of worship were once grand affairs, now they are bland, utilitarian and awful.
The same can be said of government and stare buildings.
In these times of austerity and fear I can't help but look at old buildings and miss the grandeur of them

Sandstone is ever so preferable to class and steel.
