Winter Sweet

A scent of winter from the Winter Sweet, Chimonanthus praecox, a shrub or small tree from China, that grows to about 3m high. This one, that I raised from seeds the size of coffee beans, is planted against the house where the scent can waft in on sunny winter days. Never sure if I think the flowers are pretty or ugly .... but who cares when they have such wonderful perfume :-)
